A while ago on my travels through Pintrest I can across this blog http://colorncream.blogspot.nl/2013/09/flower-square-tutorial-iii.html and I really liked the look of the flower squares. I made one and couldn’t think of how a blanket of them would fit in my house. So a single square has just been sat in my crochet bag but no more, one of our friends has announced that they are expecting a baby girl. The bundle of joy isn’t due until November but now it’s made I can have a small crochet brake before I have to start making Christmas.
The centre square is the one I made months ago, and can’t remember what size needle I used. So I used a 4mm needle and hoped for the best. It may look a bit uneven now but I’m sure it will look fine on the baby.To brake things up a bit I like to sew my squares together.
I only had a limited number of balls of pink, I was using up wool from a magazine, so as you can see I’ve edge it with white. I think it’s turned out ok. The next make will be for her older sister, I think I might make her some bunting.
Happy crocheting x
